Phil Noto’s “35MM” I came across this work during my usual late night wanderings round the design art world of the web, usually on tumbler. I am a massive sci fi geek and I especially love classic sci fi designs from the classical era of the 20’s through to the early 60’s. Phil Noto’s latest work “35mm” is quite possibly the best artistic interpretation of this theme and style I have seen in a very long time.
His work is fantastically detailed and the subjects jump with bold colours and strong lines. There is or course on overriding sense of sci-fi fantasy about the work yet is ability to create believable characters and situations add realism to the work that is captivating. from the rough edged male hero to the femme fetal characters this work is stunning.
